My recent stay at the picturesque cottage was a mixed experience. the location was undeniably stunning, with beautiful views and lovely walks right at our doorstep. the spacious rooms and the property's potential to be a gem with a little attention were definite highlights. the heating in the house was insufficient, making it quite cold and uncomfortable during our blustery weekend stay. the presence of woodlice, fungus gnats, and cobwebs in the bedrooms was off-putting and made for a less than pleasant sleeping experience. On a positive note, the phone call we received on the morning of our arrival about the flooded room was appreciated, despite the inconvenience it caused. the hosts' response to the situation, however, left much to be desired. In conclusion, while the cottage has the potential to be a charming getaway, the lack of proper upkeep and cleanliness detracted from the overall experience.
